Day Wise Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Colombo and transfer to Kandy, including a visit to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

Upon our arrival at Colombo International Airport, our representatives will be there to warmly welcome you and facilitate your transfer to Kandy. During our journey to Kandy, we will take a brief pause at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, a renowned attraction in Sri Lanka. Both tourists and locals cherish the opportunity to meet and engage with the 65 elephants residing here, each with their own unique story. Some of these gentle giants were orphaned and abandoned as infants, while others are elderly matriarchs unable to thrive in the wild, or adults who have endured unethical treatment.

Day 2: Kandy City Tour

Savor your breakfast at the hotel. Today, we embark on a captivating tour of Kandy city to explore all the splendid attractions this enchanting locale presents. Our journey will take us along Upper Lake Road, which offers a breathtaking view of Kandy Lake. This picturesque lake, also referred to as Kiri Muhuda, or Sea of Milk, was artificially created by the last king of Kandy, King Sri Wickrama, in 1807. The lake, which is now protected, lies adjacent to the Temple of the Tooth Relic and has been gradually diminishing over the years, with fishing activities prohibited. Day 3: Journey from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya with Scenic Exploration

Day 3: Journey from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya with Scenic Exploration

Savor your breakfast at the hotel in Kandy before we embark on our journey. We will set off for Nuwara Eliya right away, a delightful 5-hour drive by car. Upon our arrival, we will assist you with the check-in process at the hotel before we embark on a sightseeing adventure in the area.

Our first stop will be the Nuwara Eliya Golf Course, beautifully nestled among towering cypress trees. This 18-hole golf club is enveloped by eucalyptus and cypress trees, with tea plantations perched above. Established by the British, who also introduced tea plantations as a place for leisure and entertainment, it stands as one of the oldest tea estates in the region.

Next, we will visit the Hakgala Botanical Garden in Nuwara Eliya (Entrance Fee). Hakgala Botanical Garden is the second largest among the five botanical gardens in Sri Lanka and is adjacent to the Hakgala Strict Nature Reserve, home to a diverse array of wildlife, including bears, monkeys, and various bird species. Located approximately 5 kilometers south of Nuwara Eliya, the route to Hakgala along the Badulla road offers a pleasant downhill drive, primarily through serene pine forests. The consistently cool climate throughout the year enhances the exotic flora and fauna, creating a veritable paradise. The garden is home to thousands of plant species. The main sections include the rock garden, water garden, fern garden, Japanese garden, and the seed room. Hakgala is a temperate hill-country garden, where the charming low-country lotus and water lily gracefully coexist with elegant English roses, ancient ferns, and endemic orchids. The imposing Hakgala rock serves as a breathtaking backdrop to the garden, rising 450 meters above it. According to local legends, the history of Hakgala Gardens traces back to the era of Ramayana, an epic love story from the East. It is said that Queen Sita, who was captured and brought to Sri Lanka, was hidden in this vicinity, and the Hakgala Gardens are believed to be one of the pleasure gardens of King Ravana, known as Ashok Vatika.
